On March 11th 2011 at 2:46 pm a massive earthquake, estimated to be between 8.9-9.0 in magnitude, hit the Pacific Ocean near Northeastern Japan causing blackouts, fire and tsunami. The Japanese National Police Agency has confirmed 4 227 deaths, 2 282 injured and 8 194 missing.
